History A Level
A Level History
Students will develop a coherent knowledge of the past and develop and apply understanding of historical concepts - including change and continuity, causation, interpretations and significance. They will develop the techniques of critical thinking in a historical context, develop critical awareness or a range of historical issues and develop the ability to communicate historical arguments and conclusions. Topics include the Norman Conquest of England, the Russian Revolution, The Government and Church in early Medieval England and a long essay on a topic of their choosing.
A number of degree courses, careers in media, teaching, politics, journalism, the police and market research.
